I like Micah very much and would like to try it on a new site I am developing. I would use the Grass theme on the front page, but I am concerned that the background colors would make individual articles difficult to read. I would like to switch to basic themes for the articles.

Is it possible to assign themes to different menus?

It sure is,
Just go to template manager select a template you want to use and select the menu items you want a particular template to show on.

Thanks, but I was referring to THEMES rather than TEMPLATES. I would like to start with the grass theme and then, perhaps, on other pages, go to basic themes without the brown background color for the text.

Oh, I’m not sure about that, but you could copy the template and rename it, set the basic theme you want as default then assign the template to the menu item in question.

That is an excellent idea I had not thought of…. I will give it a spin. The text color is too close to the background in the grass theme to be read comfortably…

Hey, it worked! I copied the template and have assigned a different theme to other menus. I could not, however, get the name change to take in templates manager, but the descriptions of the templates are clear at the next edit level.
