    Hi,

We have created a new set of template layouts and placed in local/tpls – as we do on all other sites, BUT for some reason the site is 1) using the wrongly assigned template and 2) not applying the 3 x different layouts & blocks we have designed.

What is weird, is that even though our local feature layout is assigned to home, the site will only pick up whichever template we mark as a default ‘*’ assigned template. It then applies this ‘one’ template layout across the whole site – not recording the 3 different layout and templates we have designed and applied to the menu items.

    In local we have the following;

    1. jagm03-feature.php (assigned to home)
    2. jagm03-public-default.php (assigned to 19 pages)
    3. jagm03-general-default.php (default)

    the site is http://www.agmatch.com

Our t3 framework is on the latest, but even when we have turned off the ja_template/tpls, it does this funky 1 x template layout on all pages and ignores what we have uniquely set in local/tpls.

We think is must be coming from something in the t3 framework where ‘local’ is not taking precedence.

On all other JA template sites – we can always follow your documented structure, but with this site nothing seems to work.

Have you encountered this before? Is there somewhere else non standard in the settings, that would be ignoring our local tpls folder? Is there a hidden file only applying default…we are at a loss.

Can you please let me know if there is somewhere else in the t3 structure we should be looking?

    Thank you for your help
    Britt

    Hi Britt,

As I can see that the Home page is showing correct positions from jagm03-feature.php layout, could you details what are not working here?

Could you also update the FTP account of your site? I will try to investigate further.

    Hi,

The issue on your site is weird and need time to detect the problem on your site. It seems that the server on your site could not load more subfolders on your site. I tried to duplicate the issue at my local but all work properly.

I moved all folders from templates/ja_directory/local folder to templates/ja_directory/tpls/ folder and make a backup version templates/ja_directory/local**** and change the configuration on your site. Please help me to check this and let me know if it helps

    Regards

    Hi,

We didn’t change anything in style, just copy the template layout files from templates/ja_directory/local to templates/ja_directory/tpls folder.

We want to check with the default structure of template layout files to see how it works because when we try to assign layout in template manager section to use layout in templates/ja_directory/tpls but it keeps using layout in ‘local’ folder. There is something wrong with your server.

We also try to use these files in our local server but it loads correctly.

Let us know which styles (in which parts) go wrong on your site, we will check and help you out.

    Regards
