Hi, I would like to use a different layout for the all pages except Home Page. I tried assignment butit didn’t work. How can I do that? Could you please explain step by step. Thanks in advance!

I think you have to save different template name for each time you use it, little silly but you cant assign style and layout only to certain menu items, which would be more useful, so what you have to do is make template setting you desire then you save it as something_name_your_template and assign that template to your Menu.
