June 20, 2013 at 4:17 am #188359I have another system field that I cannot edit or remove. This one is quite redundant but as it is setup wrong and must be corrected.
When a job seeker registers for a job there is a radio box question asking if they want to upload a resume and depending on their selection the next field to attach resume gives a link that says Upload resume. Honestly this should be a conditional field where the entire attach resume field is either visible or not. As it is though if you choose no the upload file link is there (when it should not be) and when you click yes it disappears (when it should be there). I need to be given access to make changes to these things that don’t work right out of the box rather than having to post to the forum and then wait for hours to get help!
Since I have not got an answer to the last question I asked about this I will ask again. Why am I not given control over system fields? In this case it is neither needed and as is functions backwards and makes us look like idiots!

June 20, 2013 at 4:29 am #496343I found a workaround for those that are as mad as I am about this system form issue where we have no control. Simply make a change to it and save. Then just dont rebuild the database and it will be gone. If you need to make changes and need it visible though you are still screwed!

June 20, 2013 at 7:28 am #496348Hi Erthrat,
If you want to hide a field, you can change Mode Display option in field attribute and make sure that field is not required.
The system field type is fixed and you could not change the field type to avoid system query error.
Hope you understand us.

June 20, 2013 at 3:57 pm #496404I understand that and my question is why the dev has set some fields as system fields (I assume these are the required fields you talk about) that are NOT necessary for ANYTHING?
This system field “opt_attachment” should not be a required field. In fact it is an stupid field all together. Why would I need them to select yes or no to upload a resume that only shows or hides the upload link to the popup on the next field “attachment” when all they have to do is not upload a resume and continue on with the form. Then I really would like to know on this system field why it is setup wrong in the first place? When I select No I dont want to upload a resume, the link to allow me to upload one shows but when I chose Yes the link disappears. So in fact if I want to upload a resume I have to say No I dont want to in order to be able to.
Hope you understand me.

June 21, 2013 at 2:52 am #496440Hi Earthrat,
When applying for a job, user will have 2 options to send CV as follows:
1/ Jobseeker resume from user profile << With this way, our component will read from jobseekr profile and render to a pdf file then it will be attached to email for sending out.
2/ Jobseeker can upload CV directly from browser.Regards
