Hello… Please help…
I’ve installed Teline II and the images do not resize in the category blog view. They show correctly resized in the JA-NewsFP and JA-News Sections. They also show getting re-created in the ‘resized’ image folder, but they’re not scaled down to any of the settings in JA-News module on the category pages. Images show correctly in the article, but are not scaled down to ‘thumbnail’ for the category preview page of articles. Also, the type does not wrap around the image like in the ‘demo’.
If I place a 600x600px image in an article and resize it to 200x200px, it works fine in the article, but shows at 600x600px on the category preview page. In order for the thumbnail images to appear as 100×100 px on the category preview page, I have to manually resize the image to 100x100px and place it in the article layout. But then the article image is a thumbnail and not what I want.
I understand that this may be a bug common to Teline II?
Thank you for your help.

February 9, 2010 at 7:58 am #332165Dear guy!
That ‘s a strange :), our teline ii is working well, nothing happen with the resize function.
i guess that the html of articles are not standard and have a problem of php codes about how to looking for a image in the layout.Now, please kindly open the file templates/ja_teline_ii/html/com_content/helper.php and findcodes at line 26:
$regex = “/<img.+srcs*=s*”([^”]*)”[^>]*>/”;
replace :
$regex = ‘#<s*img [^>]*srcs*=s*([“‘])(.*?)1#im’;
and try to check the resize function again
i hope the problem is fixed 🙂
Thanks
February 9, 2010 at 11:44 pm #332236Dear tienhc,
Thank you for your help. I replaced the code as you advised, but the auto resize still does not work. I added a new article with 300x300px image and the category preview page shows the 300x300px image, not the 100x100px as instructed in the JA News module.
Do you have another idea as to how to fix this problem?
Thank you,

March 4, 2010 at 2:02 pm #334841I have the same problem. Images are automatically resized on the front page, but they appear full size in sections, breaking the layout. This is not only an annoying problem, but it requires editors to manually resize images, else present an unprofessional face to reader and (most importantly) advertisers. This flaw has caused me to look at other options, including alternative platforms, such as drupal and wordpress. I truly hope you can fix this flaw, since Teline is a well-like design.

March 6, 2010 at 4:03 pm #335098The url is http://www.ithacaindy.com I’ve repaired the offending images, pre-sizing them to prevent further bleed-over into other content. However, it would be nice to find a permanent fix so that our editors can stick to what they do best – writing.
