Hello again. Another day another question.

I am trying to upload images via k2 media manager. Everytime i try to upload an image its says it cant be uploaded. JPG allof them in this form: bla_bla.jpg.

Permissions are ok. Folder permissions ok too. What am i doing wrong? Via Ftp i can upload the images and then choose them for my articles. But how will i get the thumbnails? Should i manual resize them for the timeline and put them in resized folder?

Should i use another editor ?

And how do i choose the thumbnail size?

    Thank you for your time.

Is there any tutorial for this? I read that the resize is done automatic in another thread. Any info?

Also even from K2 Item menu, if i try to add anew article with a photo the photo never shows up to the article. Even if i choose it via the manager and not try to upload it. (upload of image doesnt work too) Strangely I get no error. I get item saved successfuly.

    What do i do now?

    Hi

There must be something wrong with your server, I tried to install this template in my end and upload a JPG image via K2 media manager and it’s successful:

So i will have to contact my host. Lets try it. Should i ask them for something specific?

    Any ideas?

–Edit: When i try to upload with k2 media manager it says unable to upload. Tried jpeg/png/gif/ anything. But nothing other than the popup error message. Strangely i can create folders / delete / rename or move files.

    Any thoughts anyone?

Update: I get error messages when i try to click via the plugin manager the k2 stuff (timeline plugin – search – anything that is k2). the error is this:

    An error has occurred.

0 Cannot open file for writing log

Any help? Tried to reinstall everything with no luck? is it permissions issue? Anyone?

Well the solution was on the server clock. and in k2 %$$@# installation. I also had to add a line of code . So if the quickstart package isn’t installed at root dir it wont fuction. when you add in the code to the installation file to direct it to see the folder the site is installed everything went ok. plus a reset to server clock. Debug on when you install debug off after.

Thanx to the people who helped. And thanx to joomla forums!
