January 10, 2010 at 8:51 pm #147522I’m not sure if it’s just me but when I set the ‘Enable Avatar’ option to No…the avatar still remains. Seems to be a bug there.
Also, three other things:
1.) I think it would be wise to add the option to either display name and avatar, or just the avatar2.) I think the positioning of the avatar would be better suited more to the right, possibly indenting the title of the voice item and the intro text, but still above the line that says “comments, spam, duplicate” etc. The current positioning of the avatar above the vote tally box just seems like an afterthought, and, to me, doesn’t look that good.
3.) Why did you not include an option to use the JomSocial avatar? You know the component exists and you know people are going to request it. Like me. Right now. lol
Thanks for your time.

Confirm bug, to be fixed in 1.3.1

Most of your concerns are avatar related, and avatar is taken from the built-in comment or integrated component. And we decided to leave all of that setting to the comment component.
JA Comment is on horizon and all of these features can be done when we provide the integration with JA Voice

Jomsocial integration is also 1 of our top priority, please stay alert for this feature in the coming version.

Thanks for the detilaed update. I’m very patiently waiting for the version 1.3.1 to be relased.
While I understand why you are tailoring JA Voice to be integrated with your soon to be released JA Comment, I’m also going to assume that JA Comment is going to cost a pretty penny (as judging by all your other exenesions).
Will we be able to use other comment systems such as JomComment with JA Voice? And if we do will those other comment systems be able to do/have the same features in JA Voice as if we were using JA Comment?
Thank You.

February 18, 2010 at 1:59 am #332989Greetings,
I understand 1.3.1 was to be released last week based on the post above.
Where can I get the update? I’m very excited to see JComments and JomSocial avatars integrated into JA Voice.

Yep. I noticed that too.
I learned a while back to just not listen to what they say.
They’ll release it when they release it. Nothing we can do or say.

February 19, 2010 at 8:13 pm #333175hmm. I didn’t have to add a URL for JomComment. All I did was ‘check’ the JomComment circle and save it. It works for me.
do you have the component JomComment installed?
February 20, 2010 at 3:22 am #333195Yes i have… i am not sure if there is any bug… or what..??
Coz i have even tried using intense debate.. but it doesn’t work…
