December 24, 2008 at 5:51 pm #136495I’ve downloaded and uploaded fresh copies of Vauxite twice today…and the front page is missing the video in the JATabs / User 5 position.
Anyone else? Or is this the Grinch that trying to steal my Christmas?

December 24, 2008 at 6:28 pm #283968I’ve now loaded for the third time and still no video showing, though the module and the video appear to be in their correct places.
Would really appreciate any ideas as to what’s going on here. Apparently the last compilation of the Quickstart has a goof in it.
John.

December 28, 2008 at 8:49 pm #284187Hi,
I’m having the same problem. I just installed the Quickstart and do not see the Video. I do see the .FLV files for the video on the sever so they did get installed just not showing up. I checked to see if it’s enabled land it looks ok. When I did a view source it’s looks like AllVideos is a beta version?jonathan446 Friendjonathan446

December 29, 2008 at 3:51 pm #284258OK, I went to AllVidoes Reloaded website and dowloaded 1.2.4 and now what? It’s enabled and the video still does not show. Where did you go to get the extension and do you set it for posistion 5?
Thanks for any help. JA should be putting a link up to download the AVR.

Having worked with this Module….NOTE: It is not for the faint-of-heart. Also not for GoDaddy based Web sites or those running on Windows IIS. Lynux users should have little trouble…but there is a good little learning curve. Still a good module.

Here’s how I finally got it to work…not sure why it worked…but it’s working
Once you’ve got AVReloaded set…
- Uninstall both JATabs Module and Plugin.
- Download (again) a Quickstart of Vauxite and unzip to local computer
- From your unzipped files…upload (through Admin panel) the mod_JaTabs and plg_JaTabs.
- Enable both the JaTabs Module and Plugin
- In the JaTabs Module set the position to User5 and in parameters set “Modules” and “Ja-Tabs”
- Then set those modules you want to appear to position “JaTabs”
Again, I don’t know why simply blowing it out and uploading it again worked, but it does. Apparently there’s some glitch in the QuickStart .
CAVEAT EMPTOR: To show you how screwed up the JATabs is in this particular Template…if you reduce the number of Tabs to just 1…then it resets to the previous problem…and you have to do this UNINSTALL/ REINSTALL thing all over again.
This is a darn shame, as IMHO this is as close to a perfect template you’re likely to find anywhere. While nothing more than JA Teline II on hyped up MooTool steroids…it’s marvelous! If it just worked.
Have fun!
