Has anybody tried backlinking to their backlinks. This is supposed to get your profile links indexed quicker by linking to them from sites like Vox, Tumblr, Posterous e.tc.
Has anybody tried this method and if so what sort of results did you get.Regards
Kim

Some people believe that by using the same anchor text for all links will seem too unnatural to G, but some reckon that’s just a myth. I myself isn’t too sure about that too. I follow the rule 80% 30% 10% rule for anchor text, 80% main keyword, 30% secondary and 10% others.</blockquote>
Sheesh yeah 1000 links per day would look a bit conspicuous I imagine. I’ve wondered about what a fair number per day to aim for is. I generally don’t build more than 20links/day, but then again it’s not like they are all going to get instantly disovered, it can take google quite a long time to find them. A friend of mine who makes his living through SEO told me it’s good to change the capital punctuation in anchor text ie: “pro Soccer tips” “Pro soccer Tips” This appears more organic to google, but won’t penalize you because you’re not actually switching the anchor text up.
April 8, 2010 at 7:54 pm #339647The Best way to get high quality backlinks is in the forums, always leave a link to your sites in your signature and you will get a quality backlink to your site, i hope i helped 🙂 also do not spam the forum because this is illegal!
April 9, 2010 at 5:59 am #339700This is an old question that has actually been disproved, the relevancy issue on links.
There was a gentleman who 6 months ago did a test of same PR backlinks for relevant on one site and totally disrelated on the other and did over 300 backlinks for each and they were both neck and neck. No advantasge for relevant sites.
April 9, 2010 at 6:02 am #339701As a clarification, this is for ANCHOR TEXTED keywords. So, that does give it some relevance. It’s not just idle links.
I agree with all your suggestions. I do a lot of article writing.
I have over 30 travel themed JOOMLA sites.
April 9, 2010 at 6:38 am #339705I have always wondered about building backlinks with Google’s Youtube. I see people talking about it, but I don’t see how you do it. Do you just uploada video and then put URLs in the video itself?

There are quite a few things you can do with this, but commonly your link is visible in your profile next to video. A lot of people also watermark their videos before uploading so at least the image is there of their site name. There are sites that rank very well with video strategies alone.
April 9, 2010 at 1:30 pm #339749Thank you for opening this thread. I managed to learn a few things from reading the replies. I am still trying to familiarize myself with the different ways of link building. I was very lucky to find this tread. Wish me luck.
April 9, 2010 at 2:58 pm #339759Nofollow links are useless. What nofollow means is that the link is coded to where Google’s spider does not index that link, rendering it meaningless. Most all social bookmarking sites use nofollow links which do not boost PR and rankings at all. Even if they were dofollow, these sites ‘hand out’ so many links to where each individual link would be virtually useless and would provide no ‘boost.’ I would argue that article directories and some forums are good for backlinks, but many forums use nofollow coding, so check around and find the ones that don’t. Hope this helps.
April 9, 2010 at 4:46 pm #339770Try using SENuke to build Web 2.0 Links or outsourcing backlink profiles to people for cheap.
The way my business works I make money when I outsource tasks so I don’t do the grunt work.

To add to this, there is a great tool with Mozilla for this called nodofollow which allows which you can turn on and off with a simple right click that highlights all of the no follows pink and do follows blue.
April 10, 2010 at 11:18 am #339851I can build up to 200 backlinks a day, but I was told my site will end up penalized by the big G. Is that true?

Yes, good one. This helps your profile/backlinks get indexed. Better for your site and better for your SERP.
Cheers

Well, this is true, but also not true. In the case of a small site that comes out of nowhere, if you go from o to 200 a day, it looks like link creation to Google.
Most Gurus recommend 25 to 30 a day and then maybe in week 2, you move up to 50 a day and then 75-100 and so on.
There are many sites that get 1000s a day, but usually there is a natural growth.
Also, vary your sources ideally. Use many strategies.
