1 go to mackend Joomla > Templates – pick one, select as default template.

Kindly check the Menu item first as i said in previous post , There are different menu item using different template style , You need to check which menu item in front end not effecting changes ,
then check its template style and change it from menu options to template style u want to apply on that menu .
Hope its clear now .

and its working fine > http://prntscr.com/9pfxks
Again u should look at menu template style first . Different menu using different template style as i said above .
Provide full info which menu on front end not reflecting changes for the template style u assigned to that menu .

OK so…..Templage choices in Templates will not affect the layout then, unless I apply changes in Menu layout.
