    Hi!

I’m trying to install JA Quartz like the demo but there is an error occuring I can’t find the solution.

I downloaded and installed Quickinstall 1.5.
Then I did what’s explained on the install-guide in this forum.

Everything is ok until it comes to the “highslide”-module.

When I open it (to configure it) the main menu in the backend disappears so that I can’t save, apply or do anything anymore.
And that’s it! The menu ist gone forever. Even if I close the window and try to log in again it doesn’t work because on the login-page I don’t see anything.. I can’t login anymore.

I installed whole joomla about 5 times today trying to find out what it can be.
I even installed a “void” joomla-version and the template, modules and plugins afterwards. But the same error occurs every time. As soon as I open the highslide-module it’s “the end”! Menu lost and joomla not workable anymore.

btw: the plugin was activated, of course.

So what can it be? Has anybody a similar or the same problem? Any solutions?

    Thanks & Greetings!

    @ admins

I have installed everything again now.
    – joomla 1.5
    – modules
    – plugins

but I haven’t configured anything, so you can go and look at it in the backend.
(I sent you login/passw. with my first post).

same problem here, just clicking on the module in the backend is enough to make the backend menu disappear. need to do a re-install every time. Joomla Art are you listening ? don’t you think you owe the people here a solution ?

with me this problem occurs on a local server. This morning I tried it out on a remote server and editing ja highslide went without a hitch, no problem at all. So it might be the problem only occurs on local servers?

am using ff3, joomla 1.5.10, windows XP, Wamp

    any ideas anyone ?

    cheers
