September 30, 2008 at 11:11 am #133897Can’t believe I am stuck with this question. I tried changing several things (background) colors in template.css inorder to change the color of the background (other than the module boxes). I can’t seem to do it. I know it is set at white color, how can I change that to a different color?

September 30, 2008 at 11:40 am #273268Can you be more specific on which areas you would like to change colors on?
Some parts is images and some parts is css, so its a litle difficult to tell you what to changeSeptember 30, 2008 at 12:11 pm #273270Hi, I am also searching like mad for changing the default green text colour (when choosing colur variation = green) to another colour. This should be a simple task but I just can’t find out how to do it. :confused:
Can someone please let me know the procedure to do this?

September 30, 2008 at 1:22 pm #273281Just so everyone knows. We tried to change the background color on Rutile. Changing the color is easy, but wait until you see the results. It is like McPhil’s pub. Every module and graphic will have to be re-done. I have a screen shot. If I can find it in my files I’ll edit my post and add it.
We made the background red to show you had bad it looks. Either the module CSS will have to be re-written, the images re-made, or the body area will have to stay white. I didn’t have time to mess with it so we put it back to white.

September 30, 2008 at 2:30 pm #273284wow!, indeed it looks pretty messed up. Thanks for providing the shot.
I am planning to add a very mild darker shade than white. To me it appears too white and can’t discern the module layouts from background.
if you don’t mind, can you let me know where you changed to red? I can tinker for a while and see if I get it the way I want. Looking from your experience, looks like it may not possible.

September 30, 2008 at 2:33 pm #273285Oh it’s possible! Everything you need to do is in your template.css files Perhaps changing the logo color to an image would be a quick fix for you. How familiar are you with CSS?

September 30, 2008 at 2:49 pm #273287sorry, still I am at a lower level with css. ‘look for this code, replace with this code’ – stage. 🙁
in template.css I tried changing color of this code:
body {
background: #FFFFFF;
color: #000000;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
line-height: 1.5;
}didn’t work.

September 30, 2008 at 2:54 pm #273288Sorry… Try looking in the color css folder. See if it will change for you there.

September 30, 2008 at 5:04 pm #273295For goofers like me, changing background is a lot of work as jwellman said, I easily spent 2 hrs in trying to change the color bit dark. There are lots of things to do, hence dropping the idea.
by the way, the code to change is in template.cssbody#bd {
color: #000000;
margin-top: 5px;
background: #F1F1F1;
}October 16, 2008 at 7:45 pm #275748I have the same problem. Want to change the color in blue, I have not all grafics found, I must change in blue color. You see more in the picture. Can anybody tell me, where the pictures are is or the name? Then I can make it blue like the full site 😀
thanks for your help,
Melanie -
