Hey everybody,
Since a few days I’m testing about styling the Ja Purity II, Joomla 1.5.
At my site: http://geschichte-wissen.de I want to add a background color at the big white space outside the content. The content should stay white.
But all I tried failed. Can you give me adive?I added a screenshot how it should look.
I found a tutorial how to configure the ja framework http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Template_Framework/FAQs#Changing_wrapper_look – i followed the steps but nothing happened 🙁
Thanks for your help! 🙂

May 14, 2012 at 7:41 pm #453038I would strongly recommend that you use Joomla 2.5.4…..
I have not done this with J1.5 but here is similar thread for J2.5. Idea will be the same but if you specific help with the css bitte fragen!
Viel Glück!
May 15, 2012 at 1:21 pm #453141Hey swissa,
thanks for your reply. I read the thread and watched the result of the changes at the site of the person, who asked about the changes. Unfortunately its not the look I want.
My page should look like this:
Is this possible? I’m not very familiar with css, so a step-to-step tutorial would be really nice.
Best wishes

May 17, 2012 at 3:42 pm #453464Sali mariachi,
I think you need to add a new <div> to ensure that you cover the whole template to achieve this easily. Whilst I’ve added module positions etc, I haven’t done this before. I hope someone who has done this can offer the quickest way to do it.
Doing it with css alone will be quite hard work. :((
Viel Glück!
