Do u mean by the images used in Slideshow ? You can change them from Modules > Slideshow > Open it change the images .

You can apply the background colour on body class via custom.css file .

body {
    background-color: #f2f2f2;
}

Change color code with your color .

Hi
For custom.css file go to /css/custom.css
If file is not present then create it .
Use

body {
    background-image: url(/images/joomlart/logo-small.png);
}

Replace the path with your image path .
