    Hi there!
    I am trying to figure out why the background image doesnt show up when smartphones load the website up.
    the site is here:
    http://www.loudguitars.com/enter/
    I used the following tutorial:
    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/add-background-to-template/
    to add css code to the template.css, and a background image to the website, and it works fine on all browsers, however, on smartphones, the background image doesnt show, just a plain white background with the elements on top of it. Can anyone help, and suggest an adjustment/fix?
    Oh, and heres the code I use:

    body#bd {
    background: url(“../images/background.jpg”) scroll 0 0 transparent;
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-attachment:fixed;
    background-position:center top;
    color: white;
    }

    I understand its the ‘white’ of this section thats showing on smartphones, but wheres the background image? Should I use a full link to the image? Any help would be appreciated, thanks:)

    thanks, but joomla cache and background cache have been cleared many times since the site was made…any other suggestions? The problem is not about displaying it in regular browsers, its a problem about displaying it on smartphones, as it appears on all other regular browsers. Any other ideas? ANy suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for the response so far

    yes you are right. it is not showing. I checked in Xperia X10. I checked it in both portrait and landscape too. I hope its layout is designed as such.

    Hi, having a similar issue on my outdoor landscape lighting universe site – please see <a href=”http://www.outdoor-landscape-lighting-universe.com/out-door-lights.html”>out door lights</a>.
    Will be very interested in hearing a potential solution.
    Thx,
    Peter
