I use Pyrite to manage a small dance community in Berlin and it worked like a charm out of the box. Thanks for your comments and feedbacks.

September 10, 2008 at 7:41 am #269883Great customization!
Love it. I think you should enter that into the monthly competition (which you can find here)
One question though – what translator are you using?
I’m looking for one for my site and the closts I’ve come to using a translator is GTranslate but it uses Google Translate to translate the articles – which we all know majority of the time does not make sense.
Any help on this would be appreciated.
September 10, 2008 at 8:43 am #269891hi anisjolly,
thanks for the feedback. I use Gtranslate pro as translator. I know it’s not perfect but it suits my needs and it’s easier than Joomfish. I would like to see your website too. Can you send me the url?
best regards from Berlinanisjolly Friendanisjolly

September 10, 2008 at 9:21 am #269908I got offered the GTranslate Pro too for a discounted proce but decided against it as I got complaints to say the articles didn’t make sense – hence removed it.
You can see my site at http://www.voiceofbolton.com
Hope you like it.

September 10, 2008 at 11:00 am #269920Hi swingcheese
Great site, great modification and use of the template … good job!
Me, I tried every ‘auto translator’ available, they were all garbage and not one article actually translated correctly. In the end I had to go JoomFish and manually translate … heavy work, but better results and happier foreign visitors to my site!
Good luck!

September 11, 2008 at 1:57 pm #270094Maybe it’s just me (although I don’t seem to be having server issues today) but the site was slow in FF and I also got an error in Explorer. The site started to load but then came up with “Upload Aborted” and went to a blank page (when I tried in IE).
The site looks good. I’m getting ready to use the same template so hopefully all goes well. I’m not crazy about red and even worse for me is orange. The client wants orange so I’ll have to bite the bullet and pretend to like the color. 😀

September 13, 2008 at 12:26 pm #270330I can confirm, like others had problems with IE7, I could not open in IE6. I would suggest trying to get this issue resolved.
However, in FF, it did open. The site looks great.
The English translation is a not real accurate, but I could figure out most of the sections I reviewed.

September 13, 2008 at 12:31 pm #270331I see that there is a discussion about the IE problems and this template. Maybe this will be of some help.
Take a look at this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/big-problem-with-template-pyrite-ie7-operation-aborted/
