January 15, 2009 at 5:22 pm #137143Do any of you bank your credits?
You earn 3.5% interest on whatever you deposit, but I figured out I earn more by posting twice…
Do any of you use that feature?

January 15, 2009 at 8:55 pm #286694It’s 3.5% every 30 days but you can only have a max of 5,000 lodged. So the max interest you can earn is 175 per month. The fastest way by far to build credits is to post good helpful posts. Getting Thanked earns you extra credits and you’d be surprised how fast they build up.
I only started posting regularly here about 4 months ago and I’ve almost 11,000 credits accumulated. It’s a great way to earn a developer license and you do actually learn a lot yourself from helping others. I often don’t know the answer when I first read a post but I go off and find out what the answer is. I’m fairly knowledgeable about .css now but still haven’t a clue about PHP or Javascript. I don’t make money from Web Dev so I can’t justify the $500 for a Dev License.
Just make sure you don’t post long off topic posts just for the sake of posting. It means others have to wade through all the crap til you get to your 6000 credits. 😉

January 15, 2009 at 10:15 pm #286699I’ve banked it now, so now to wait for the money to roll in. I noticed the support guy has 59,000 credits though! Insanity.

Right, Scotty, I wish you all the best with that…
