I was wondering if the Banner Feature of Joomla 1.5 works with the JA Lead template?

Yes / No ?

I tried to use the banner feature but the banner has not shown on the site yet.

Please advise.

Hi Mihir,

I was trying to use the banner feature in the administrator back end of joomla.

you can get to the banner features by going to the “Components” menu item drop down and selecting “banner”.

I’m currently using the JA Lead template

I enabled a banner ad but it does not display on the site.

If you look at the link, you will understand that there is no position called as banner. The module positions are shown in the link above.

Hello,

Sorry I think i skipped the middle sentence in your post. Anyways, you enabled the component, but forgot to tell which place to display. To do that you need to go to “Extensions” > “Module Manager” , search for the “Banners”.

Enable that extension in one of the top above mentioned module positions.

It is possible to add a position to the template if you are not getting a position in a place you want.

Can you make a small illustration of where you would like to place the module?

Hello,

There is already a position there called as ja-login.

You can publish it to the top right position. That should get the advertisement there.

The Banner will display in the footer position, but not in the JA Login position

I currently have it located in the JA Login position.

I tried some simple text in the JA Login position.

The text does not dislay their either.

maybe they forgot to add that position??

Hello,

Have you enabled the module? Because I cannot see the position getting added. I have tried it on my server and it is working fine. The position is there for sure. I have already used that for a few website that I have built.
