OK…I’ve been scratching my head for a couple of days now, trying to figure both this template (which I like), and Joomla (in general) out. However, I seem to be stuck on some basic concepts.

Reading through the setup sticky at the top of the forum, I am immediately stuck with how to add the needed positions for the gallery installation. I can find no page in the administrator (for ver. 1.5) that resembles the instructions.

On my template manager preview, there is no user 5 defined, so the area that appears to be allotted for the gallery slider, is blank.

Reading further down the instructions, I have no idea what they are talking about regarding enabling the GD2Module and PHP.ini file. I could use some help understanding what that means.

I could point you to my site, but it is still just the basic default template. I haven’t made any changes to it at all.

Help, please…… I am hoping that somebody can point me in the right direction to at least get this thing started.

I think should install Avian ii quickstart for Jooma 1.5, you will have a new site like demo.
And if you want to add a new position , you must edit templatesDetail.xml file. Example add this line

<position>user5</position>
But in Avian II template, I think you dont need to add postiion, if you want to publish Rsslide module at user 5 position, you must publish a module at user 1 or user 2 position.

OK…I sort of understand your response. Do I need to uninstall the template and gallery files that I have installed? And, user 1 & 2 are already in position in the default template, so I assume what you mean, is that I need to keep them there?
