I’ve uploade JA Rochea. Now I’m lost.

Where do I get the template Quick installation, that I just substitute with my own content? 😎

    Thanks

Hi – probably best NOT to use the quick installation (if there is one for this template). Merely upload/install the template in admin/installers, then assign it as the default (site/templates). Your content will still be there, but the template will be Rochea. You will probably have to look at module positions though to fit with your desired layout.

    Hi!!! Glad you answered.

I’ve installed Joomla and worked out already with other templates. But now I wanted something nicer and pretier, so I want a JA Rochea template.

But I still have some basic questions :-[

1 – I uploaded the template and the two modules through Admin installers. But where do I upload Source Files and Users guide (has some scripts).

2 – How do I get my menu itens up on A area – Built in Functions? It is not ready to be positioned? If a choose position “header” it disapears.

Sorry, probably it is a very basic and silly doubt, but I bought a ready template thinking it would make my life easier, since I’m not a programmer!! But it is more difficult than I thought. :((

Hi – source files and user guide are for your local use – you dont “upload” them. The scripts should already be in templates/ja-rochea/some sub-folder – or specifically, which ones do you need?
AREA A has the JA menu by default (transmenu, suckerfish etc) – it is populated by the joomla mainmenu items, not the “topmenu” items (using the names that come with the default joomla install). Confusing, I know…

    cwigg, I got it. :-*

thanks a lot. Sometimes just a push and things starts to get clearer.

I will start now to build up my portal. 😉 and afterwards I give a feedback.

    Have a nice weekend!
