OK, so I’ve been having some real issues with the hosting through godaddy.com and have recently thought about bailing with them before I get even more invested in the creation of my website through joomla.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Scott

i think hawkhost.com and froghost.com is very good
they are using cpanel which is much better than godaddy’s hosting control panel
and support all kinds of joomla extensions, godaddy sometimes don’t support some joomla extensions

Minimum requirements for Joomla are really low: PHP 4.3.10, MySQL 3.23 and Apache 1.3 or IIS 6, so choosing best web host for Joomla isn’t much different than choosing host for any other websites as every decent provider will satisfy the prerequisites. You can search for those who offer one click Joomla install, but I wouldn’t make my decision based on that. This poll on who is the best web hosting company might help you choose. Although I don’t believe in best web hosting, as it is subjective.

I used to go with lunar pages but they started giving me problems so I switched over to Aspiration Hosting. I have two plans an aspire1 shared that I use to develop which is cheap. $4.99 and a aspirePlus plan that I’ll be moving my magento store to. I’ve been using them about 8 months now and haven’t had any problems.
