I am planning to move my site from one domain host to another and at the time time I plan to move from JA Rave J1.6 to JA Wall J2.5. Because JA Wall is so different, I wonder if I would be better off creating a blank JA Wall site in J2.5, and then when it looks right, copy/paste my web pages into the new site. Or maybe there would be a way to automatically move my articles over, and preserve their count history and ratings?

Alternatively, I could move the site over, upgrade Joomla from 1.6 to 2.5, then apply JA Wall.

    Any suggestions, notes, appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi Microvation,

You could try using Feedgator to move your articles over, but I don’t believe it will preserve their count/ratings history. Directions for using feedgator can be found here.

Did not know about feedgator, that’s helpful. Thanks V. Not ideal, but might work. -billb
