Hello,
I’ve been browsing many of the templates for a while, but I don’t know if there’s anything capable of handling real estate listings easily. I don’t know what capabilities exactly I’m looking for, but the ultimate goal is to be able to upload real estate listings and render them well – both internally and from other sites (such as MLS).
I honestly don’t know if this is a “template” thing, or an add-on or perhaps this isn’t the right CMS for the job. I know there are several real-estate extensions for joomla, so I guess my question is, what template would be best at handling and rendering real estate?
Thanks,
Anna:D

July 6, 2010 at 3:58 am #349059Hi Anna
With work any T3 template can be a decent RE site, however what are you thinking of using to generate the realty stuff?there are many commercial extensions available for Joomla to help, Look PM questbg, chris is doing a few real estate sites now and uses a simple extension if the needs are not enormous, he also sub contracts if that’s a better solution for you. Regardless he can give you advise

July 6, 2010 at 5:37 am #349074Hi Anna
(Thanks Shannon!).
I think many templates can be ‘suitable’ for most RE sites, depending on what functionality is required (quick search, advanced search, featured properties, contact forms per property, etc.).
Here’s a site I’m just in the process of finishing, based on JA Kyanite:
http://www.maisonsdecharente.comAnother very simple RE site I built, based on JA Pyrite:
http://www.bulgariannorthwestproperties.comYet another RE site I built, this one based on JA Nickel:
http://www.accordiaproperties.comAll of these sites were done with ‘non-commercial’ RE components, therefore I had no additional expense over and above my membership here at JA.
Hope this helps.
