I currently have k2 v2.2 installed with the ores template
I would love to upgrade it to v2.4.1 the latest without breaking the style that it currently shares with the main joomla site template

I know its been discussed before but if someone could explain the process in a really simple way I would appreciate it

Oh, its simple way, you download the lastest version in here: http://getk2.org/ and go to the installer manager and you install it as normall way. the k2 will be upgraded to the latest version on your site

yes I did that but eariler when I did this I did not figure out that you must overwrite the 3 css files located in /components/com_k2/css or your stuck with the css files that k2 overwrites which breaks the formatting of the template

someone that is new to joomla may have overlooked this as did I when I first started

that ‘s right, that a new changes about css of k2 component version 2.4.x, you need only use css files of the old version, to resolve that issue
