    These quotes seem par for the course. I also posted a small bug two weeks ago on Apr 14 but the JA team ignored that too. At best the JA practice of not responding is discourteous, at worst it gives the impression that JA is dismissive of its customers’ feedback. For most of us I suspect a simple acknowledgement from JA of a bug report would suffice.

    It is accepted that initial releases of templates are beta versions. Many members clearly spend a lot of time and effort trying to iron out or requesting help with fixing bugs in this template. Template modifications are a separate matter and in that regard members rightly look to the JA community for help (even if it does aggrieve certain other members that some modifications can be achieved through self-help).

    My 2c worth is that I’d like to see the JA team somehow indicate that they are aware of known bugs, to inform members of a date when all reported bugs would likely be fixed via an updated template download and better still mark such updates with new version numbers (1.1, 1.2 etc) with a note as to which bugs had been fixed with each version so members know where they stand. We can then each get on with our individual modifications of a reasonably bug-free JA template.

    Bugs I’d like to report are as follow:

    1. SQL issue: Duplicate entry ’25–10′ for key ‘group_id_aro_id_groups_aro_map’ SQL=INSERT INTO jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map VALUES (25,”,10)

    2. CSS frontpage:

    This part of the css does not work in IE8 compatibility view (i.e. IE7):

    .title {background: url(../images/dot.gif) repeat-x 0 65%; width: 100%; /* need IE 8 */}

    3. Issues with the ja-slide-desc :

    a) does not render properly in Google Chrome – there is a text overlay causing it to be blurry and unreadable. (as reported by afif9903)
    b) does not word wrap properly in either IE7 or IE8 – text is lost to the right possibly because IE is not picking up the css padding

    4. The ja-slideshow drops beneath the header in IE7 causing an unwanted and ugly shadow
