    hello!

I detected that when a user account have got structure with a space character betwwen two words (for example a username called “albert einstein” this template can not loggin this user. I tested with default joomla template and works correctly.

I don’t know if this is a problem for this template or a global problem for JAT3 for Joomla 1.7.

You can test it on: http://www.medicinaub.com

    Many thanks!

Just to make sure we are understanding your question correctly . . .

Are you saying that if a user creates an account with a username that has a space in between two names – e.g. “Clark Kent” (as opposed to “Clerk_Kent”) that the user us not “allowed” to use and/or login with that username? I assume you are also saying that they were allowed to register using a space between two names, correct?

If so, this is an interesting question and I will certainly forward it onto our JA Development Team to check out.

In the meantime, you might also want to consider a special instruction to your users that there cannot be any spaces between characters in a username. (This seems to be the case for a great many website communities I have seen).

Nevertheless, if spaces between characters for usernames is something that is supposed to be allowable, then I will ask our JA Dev Team to take a look into this for you.

    Hi Tom!

Yes, you understanded correctly the problem. if you want you can test to create new user in my website with a space between two names. If I use for example: Beez2 – Default template users created with space can login without problems but if I use ja_ironis template users can create account but can not login.

    Many thanks!

Well, from the sound of it, it seems like it may be a particular coding issue with regard to the user registration function . . . which could be different within the code between Beez2 and JA Ironis (as Beez2 is not a JA developed/supported template . . . it’s part of the base universal Joomla installation package).

As I promised I would do, I have taken the liberty of submitting a Support Ticket request for you for our JA Development Team to take a look into. Hopefully they will be able to provide a workable solution.

Hold tight, my friend . . . . Help is on the way.
