Hi guys.
I played around a bit but I can’t find a solution, I hope someone will be able to help me out.
I changed the image topimg.png with another one, png with transparent background, but in IE6 that horrible greyish background shows up.
With the logo, it is even worse…the new logo doesn’t show up at all in IE6.
Of course everything works just fine in any other browser.
Any idea about how it can be solved?
Thank you for helping 😉

December 5, 2007 at 2:32 am #233924have you got a link to your site..I don’t have IE6 but maybe someone has, but they will need to see your site.
did you make the image transparent yourself?December 5, 2007 at 2:56 am #233926Yes, I have a link.
I just started building it so it is a bit of a mess
the link is http://betterjewellery.com.au/index.php
I just noticed something…the whole top module position looks totally grey (and part of the menu too) with or without something published…no transparency at all in IE6. >:(
December 5, 2007 at 3:02 am #233927looked ok for me?

December 5, 2007 at 3:11 am #233930If your top image is Better Jewellery in writing then it does indeed show up in IE7 you may want to clear your internet caches and temporary files.
Your site is ok in IE7 and also ok in Mozilla Firefox. Although a tad slow loading

Yes, you’re right, that was a cache problem, sorry.
Very bad in IE6 instead, the whole top position is grey….even the menu :((
And by the way I just checked the demo site, the topsl-bg.png doesn’t look transparent at all there either with IE6.
I guess I have to change template, don’t I?
December 7, 2007 at 3:50 am #234076No solution at all?
Even the logo on top doesn’t show up in IE6, I even changed the file logo.png into logo.gif, changed it in the file css but there’s no way.
The logo is not visible on the demo site either.

December 9, 2007 at 8:02 am #234231Hi Nemesis8663,
concerning the ‘topimg’ I think that you have not saved the image to the right format PNG32 to have the transparency. 😉
Try

Hi Moutia 😉
I did, but for some reason it didn’t work. If you check the demo site with IE6, the logo doesn’t show up at all. Strange, huh?
So I did this: I changed all the pics (logo, topsl-bg.png and so forth) into .gif wih transparent background, changed the paths in the css files and now it works great 😉
