I think you must create a module or a big space on the templates where people can place advertising, announcements, or any other commercial information so we can sell those spaces to our customers. I hope you can understand me.
It would be nice to have some more spaces where we can place adds from companies that want to advertise their products on our website. So we can offer them different spaces depending on their interest in the product they want to promote. You should create for example a big space on the header; as well as a medium space on the left or on the right.
I think those spaces are very important on a website, but on your templates most of the time there is only one or two spaces where we can place commercials ads.

January 10, 2008 at 9:49 pm #236191Perhaps not everyone wants to sell space to advertisers? most web sites have their own smaller adverts for their own use, portals with great big “go here buy this” , seem to me to be turn offs, and I walk away from such sites.
if I want to buy something I rarely need advertising, to guide or sway me to purchase “Brand X”; I know what I want and can use any net based search to find the service or product, however you raise a valid point and I’m sure not everyone agrees with my point of view.
However from a design pov, what constitutes such a site?
Do you want just a menu header area and 4 big boxes on each page?, If you ask for such a template an image of a hand drawing or a link to another similar site would really help us visualize what you mean in detail and provide a base for a template to be developedHave a great day 🙂
