I always end up in blank page in home page everytime i select “home” menu assignment in JA slideshow lite.

You can enable Error Reporting in global configuration > server tab and post error here so that I can give further advice.

I have this same issue. I get the error:

Is JA Slideshow Lite module up-to-date? If yes, PM me admin and FTP account of your site, I need a closer look to detect this issue.
