Hi,

I have a problem when i’m trying to migrate JA mendozite to JA Magz. I have installed all the JA Magz package but when i’m changing the template, I have a blank page. This is the same thing in backend when i’m trying to edit the template.
Do you know where is the problem ?

Thx

Hi

Maybe because the 2 templates have different T3 Framework versions

Hi thierry93,

Pavit mentioned right. JA Mendozite and JA Magz template run on two different version of our T3 framework (JAT3v2 and new T3v3). The differences in ưthe template layout controlling and integrated features will cause the problem (i.e blank homepage) when you enabled that T3 versions at the same time.

The solution in this case is just enabling one template with supported T3 version plugin when using it as default template, and disabling the other framework plugin.

Hi
I have a slightly different situation but also get blank page for both front-end and back-end GUI. My goal is to load ja_magz.

I have a fully functional site using other template. I did the following:
– Loaded t3v2_framework_2_for_joomla 2.5 including component, plugin, module, template
The Blank & Clean JA T3 V2 Framework Template – Default came up fine
– Loaded ja_magz (not the quickstart because my site have content) including all plugins, modules, and template. I did not load the component because it’s the same as t3v2 package (version 2.5.8) and I could not load the custom package for easyblog_theme_magz.v1.0.2.zip complaining that it could not find the xml file

When I switched the template from t3_blank to ja_magz, all I see is a white screen. I also try to go into template settings for Ja_magz but it also appears blank (white). What did I do wrong???

I like the ja_magz’s administrative panels and prefer that over the t3 blank’s panels because they are easier to use.

Please help me get ja_magz on my system without installing the quickstart which forces me to rebuild the site from scratch.

Thanks
-Steven

Hi Steven,

Did you try with Leo’s suggestion?

The solution in this case is just enabling one template with supported T3 version plugin when using it as default template, and disabling the other framework plugin.

JA Mendozite is based on old JA T3v2 framework and JA Magz is built with new T3 one. If you want to use JA Magz, please disable old T3v2 framework plugin as using both of these 2 versions in the same time will cause the conflict.

It would be best if you can PM me the URL, admin credential of your site so that I can have a closer look.
