March 16, 2011 at 12:40 am #161506Am I the only one that is having trouble with this template? It’s slow and buggy. Even when I load your demo site, the mega menu fonts are large and then resize on mouse over. I’m running it in IE 8. My site does this until I mouse over the menu. Sometimes the entire page fonts are large as well until I mouse over the page content. I’m running join and minify js/css. I noticed that when I disable the join and minify js the font issue seems to clear up. I ran YSlow on the site and am alarmed at the poor results and performance-
Running join and minify css/js
Grade D Overall performance score 67
This page has 9 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one.
This page has 6 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.
This page has 40 external background images. Try combining them with CSS sprites.I will send my url to support via email once I hear from them.

Look at your demo in IE 8. Click on links on the page and move your mouse just to the left of the banner in the header after clicking on a link either in the nav or on a page. You will see what I am talking about.
Are you running 1.5 or 1.6 in your demo? When running YSlow it is indicating that my minify/js is not enabled – it is on in the backend of my website. I’m running the 1.5 version.
I believe the font sizing issue is related to bandwidth issues and page/script/css load times.

March 16, 2011 at 1:42 pm #381649I’m also concerned about the template’s inability to load quickly.
May help to use valid code in the first place (using Joomlart demos):
http://templates.joomlart.com/ja_teline_iv/
1.5 HTML – Valid
1.5 CSS – 201 Errors, 6421 Warningshttp://joomla16-templates.joomlart.com/ja_teline_iv/
1.6 HTML – 1 Error, 1 Warning
1.6 CSS – 197 Errors, 4747 WarningsThe invalid CSS code could be the cause of your fonts not displaying properly, while they work fine for me in FF3.6 I also have problems in IE8.

Thank you for confirmation – I have brought this up before and they have not addressed the issue.
I am getting nervous about the quality of the templates from this club.Phill ModeratorPhill

March 16, 2011 at 2:42 pm #381668The css warning I believe are because the validator is css2 but the template contains a lot of css3.

Sorry about not clarifying previously; here is the validation when a CSS is specified (I didn’t specify which CSS Level to check previously).
Validated at: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
http://templates.joomlart.com/ja_teline_iv/
1.5 CSS Level 2.0 – 232 Errors, 5798 Warnings
1.5 CSS Level 2.1 – 201 Errors, 6421 Warnings
1.5 CSS Level 3.0 – 165 Errors, 6428 Warningshttp://joomla16-templates.joomlart.com/ja_teline_iv/
1.6 CSS – 231 Errors, 4093 Warnings
1.6 CSS Level 2.1 – 197 Errors, 4747 Warnings
1.6 CSS Level 3.0 – 171 Errors, 4754 WarningsSo yes, there are fewer errors when checked with CSS3… still not valid though.
