October 7, 2015 at 11:52 am #697246Hi there,
3 requests here, it’s to save us the end users time and also you guys time from answering duplicate forum questions.
1. “How do I add a new block to template xxxxxx” This question is asked multiple times in the forum and I’m sure most mods will agree that it would be handy to have a block creator.
The “layout” section of JA templates allows us to resize, hide and rename blocks. However what we really need is the ability to create new blocks and positions in the layout area. (see screenshot)
What would be amazing would be if we could drag and drop blocks and name the positions to anything we want. We should be able to combine block into container, create new full width container and so on. There is a 3rd party extension called Template Creator CK which has the ability to do this and more which is developed by one guy, so JA should be able to create something far superior, not to take anything away from c’ED.
2. Next is probably every ACM’s users pet hate, not having a WYSIWYG editor just sucks, please add this functionality.
3. Fix compatibility for all templates to be able to use ACM without the need for copying language files. Universal language file update for all templates?
Hopefully these can be added as soon as possible because it will not only help end users but will save your forum staff time from answering repeat questions about “how to put html in ACM like buttons, links, images etc” I mean people use CMS’s because they are easy, so lets make things even easier.
Thanks,

October 8, 2015 at 2:51 am #697324Hi Richard,
Thank you for raising this up and your point is pretty cool.
For the block creator in layout, this is a big feature and need to change a lot in T3 framework.
With ACM module, as its name – Advanced custom html module – our initial idea is that we want to provide some advanced option compare with default custom html module of Joomla so that it brings out more options for users and easier to developer site instead of using another 3rd party extension (i.e: Slideshow, Slider, Testimonial, CTA, …). Unfortunately, this module is used within some recent templates only, it’s not a stand-alone extension yet.
Anyway, let me pass this to the team for further consideration.
Regards,
Saguaros

May 30, 2016 at 3:26 pm #936115Hi,
i have Tip about this.
to use some WYSIWYG in the ACM module you can first create the content in a article and then PASTE it in to the ACM module.
This worked for me.
I know it’s not the easyest way to do it but… for now it works.
