I am trying to use the first version of the quotes described in the JA Rave typography, with just the opening quote sign, as follows:
<blockquote>Your quote goes here!</blockquote>
The font does change to Georgia, but the leading opening quote does not display.

However if I use the other version of the quote syntax, with both the opening and the closing quotes, the quote signs do display correctly.
<blockquote><span class=”open”>Y</span>our quote goes her<span class=”close”>e!</span></blockquote>

I prefer to use the first version, wich requires less html editing. How can I fix the broken css to show the opening quote sign? Thank you.

Dear clampert,

The quotes which you see on the JA Rave typography there is a mistake,the first quote it should be
<blockquote><span class=”open”>Y</span>our quote goes here!</blockquote>

intead of just <blockquote>Your quote goes here!</blockquote>
You can try that to see it work,this mistake will be fixed soon !

Oh, I see… I thought that styling was part of the blockquote css…
