    Dear Team,

I’ve just bought and installed Ironis. It’s a pretty design on your demo. But after installing it it looks like the casual joomla design…

I’ve read about “blocks” in various guides but i am not able to install it (where?).

Do I have to change the xml-File – and where can I found it?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Kind regards
    Slart

    Greetings Slart:

When you installed your JA Ironis template, did you do so utilizing the quickstart installation – with sample data – process ??

I ask because, if you had, you would get (for the most part) a near exact duplicate of what you see in the demo version.

As for your questions with regard to “blocks,” these can be found at templates/ja_ironis/blocks

You can also see block positions within your Template Manager under the “Layout” Tab and by clicking “Edit” next to any one of the layout options (e.g. “Default”).

    Dear TomC,

I’m very impressed for the quick response, thank you. I have not used quickstart… However, everything installed itself quite well.

I have found the “layout” Tab and the code. But I do not know how and where to publish an article for e.g. on the frontpage on your design, e.g. “left-mass-top”. It might be an easy qustion, but my last exeperience with joomla was 1…X

    Kind regards
    Slart

(By the way where can I publish >”Thank You” for this quick response;-)?

I’ll jump in as I know Tom is off having fun.

Trying to setup this template from scratch is going to be hard work especially as you are not familiar with T3 based templates or the latest versions of Joomla.

I would like to suggest that you either start with the quickstart or install the quickstart on your local machine using a tool such as WAMP. This as Tom suggests will give you a site fully setup like our demo (thoguh some images will be replaced by place holders). This will allow you to compare all the settings and generally play until you know where everything is.

Oh, and to say thanks simply click on the “Thanks” button at the bottom of Toms post. It is right at the bottom left with a little thumbs up icon.

Glad that Phil and I were able to assist with the Tag Team effort? (Hey, even us JA Mods need a little down time once in a while) 😉

In any case, let us know if things went well with your re-install. If you run into any additional problems, let us know.
