Hello,

firstly – nice theme, well done JA. im trying to get a category item from main menu to display using blog layout. ive read the config guide and tried to follow. it should be pretty straight forward…

i added menu item in article category in layout, then added menu item ID (84) to the ja_ores config for page layouts overwrite as 84=blog. see attached files.

ps. it might be worth knowing im using sh404SEF component for SEF urls – so this might be a blocker?

Try to disable sh404sef and see if that works. It worked for me ( i am using standar joomla sef)

thanks for response. i tried that before. disabled sef component, still no blog layout for menu item. have i missed something in configuration? any other ideas? thank you

Did you clear cache etc when you tried that ?

yes, i cleared SEF cache.

I checked and I saw that the url http://www.mylearningspace.com.au/Learning-Management-System/News/ is showed using blog layout,Please just select “Created Date and Time” to show on the setting of the News menu item then you will see it display as our demo
