Publication date of all blog entries has reset to 01 Jan 1970 after update to Joomla 2.5.4 – see dgvsound.com home page

This has happened before and I had to re-enter the dates on each blog article to correct the problem.

I would welcome your advice on how to resolve this and prevent this problem from happening again.

J! 2.5.4 has some general issues that are set to be resolved with the J! 2.5.5 release. Hopefully the new release will resolve these annoying issues like this one.

I resolved this by switching the date ordering to ‘published’ under layout options on the main menu item for the home page featured article layout.

The article dates on all pages showing blog items now show correctly.
