December 4, 2010 at 4:40 pm #157054I’m using the blue-light template throughout the website and it looks great. However, when I enable the Blog section which uses K2, the blog shows up with the default black template. I can’t get it to use the blue-light template even when changing the template parameters of the blog (only options given are default, ja_community_blog, and ja_community_plus.
Is there a setting that I am missing to enable the blog to use the blue-light template?
Thank you!

In the back-end og your template >> Global tab >> Profile Override Settings section.
Please make sure that you have assigned the page which is referring to the k2 blog section to a profile (which has blue-light theme).

This was also a problem for me. In the template back-end, I have the blue-light theme assigned to all pages. When you go to change the parameters in the menu item, those options are grayed out.
I was not able to fix it, so I just deleted that menu item and created a new one (you have to delete it, just changing the type doesn’t work). I did this after I changed the default theme to blue-light. This worked (it seems that the old link was not updating the new default template).

February 8, 2011 at 9:58 am #375626Yes Please check current version of the template and plugin, you should use latest versions. and then try following to this guide http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/solution-for-the-error-in-saving-template-configuration/ . to set permission on creating, writing files and folder.
And then re-configure again, when done, just clear the T3 cache and force reload your browser with CTRL + F5
Thanks

February 9, 2011 at 1:06 am #375710The advice from missshona worked; thank you! Even though I was updating the existing blog menu item that came with the template/default data, the default dark template was showing up. I had to create a new menu entry to make it work.
