Sorry to hear that and happy it didn’t happen to me. I hope you find a way to get those hard earned credits back. After all, you earned them.:)

You would have only lost the points that you obtained when making that post.

What do you mean JoomlArt was hacked? As far as I am aware we were not hacked.

The front page tabs were very subtly hacked with just small changes like “Premium Email Support” to “No Premium Email Support”. It was someone making a point rather than being very malicious.

Don’t know why the threads keep being deleted though as no doubt this one will be too. There’s no shame in being hacked. :-[

I didn’t create the “main site hacked” posts was just chatting in them. I’m not to serious about the credit points being lost hence the “LoL” in my post. As Scotty states is was not a major defacing someone had just changed some of your copy descriptions, akin to your support is horrid. Which honestly I’d have to agree with.

I started the thread and alerted the admin about the hacking, my credits are gone too and not even a thank you!
I’ll keep my mouth shut next time…:((

^^ There’s some extra for you lol. You’re only talkin’ a tiny amount of credits really though. Not worth kicking up about.

LOL @ Jay though… you’ve had all your posts deleted at this stage and are back to one.

I wish they wouldn’t delete those threads. I asked a valid question in the previous thread: since the site was hacked, do we have to worry that perhaps some downloads were corrupted (backdoors, etc.)? That is a completely legitimate question that I would still like an answer to. Many people know that the site was hacked…deleting threads doesn’t erase what happened. I’d like to get reassurance that I have nothing to worry about when downloading from here.

Very good point, although from the complete lack of communications I guess the team are probably ironing out the bugs in Vauxite at the moment.:D

Maybe it was the hackers themselves who removed your credits for alerting admin!!! 😀 🙂

This is beginning to sound like a mystery, something for Sherlock Holmes. No, honsetly, I also think we need to knwo what happens and find out how if we can, Hiding things done’t make them disaapear.

I thought that was probably the issue considering there were a few “hacked” posts that were deleted. However, now that a staff member came in claiming ignorance that the site had been hacked makes me think otherwise. That or the communication between staff members is seriously lacking, much like their customer service.
