first of all thx for the tip! i wonder last days why on some pages all ok and on other not…
can someone tell me plz where i can change this? iam not the css-specialist.. đApril 2, 2008 at 7:38 am #244030no one? Maybe someeone from this template-club can post a solution? it seems to me thats a bug.
April 3, 2008 at 6:32 pm #244286I had this problem crop up today and I came on the forum to find a solution.
Rlisarioâs solution works. His English is a little rough, so it took me a moment to decipher what he was saying. Here is the translation: The height of the JA-Newsflash module must be smaller than the User 1 and 2 modules. Otherwise a misalignment occurs in IE7.
I am not even sure why this issue is happening to me. The problem only happens on pages that donât have the User or JA-Newsflash modules even showing!
Fortunately, it is an easy fix. Go into the Module Manager and select the JA-Newsflash module. Change the âHeight of DIVâ to a smaller size. Like Kbracey, 100px also worked for me. Unfortunately, the fix is not ideal. I had the module set to a large size for a reason, it was cutting off part of my newsflash.
I am also not a coder and I havenât been able to find a way to increase the User modules size, which I would assume would also fix the problem. It would be a better fix as well, since right now I am forced to reduce the size of my Newsflash in order to fix a page that isn’t even using it!
Darn you IE and your lack of standards. Darn you.
April 6, 2008 at 4:49 pm #244574I am also seeing this issue regularly…but wanted to provide some more information that I hope can help. Also a picture is attached…
First off, I am a HTML/CSS coder, but have clients who like templates, as is, on occassion, which is better for me. Little modification…this is one of those cases…I have changed nothing. The template is in it’s original state.
Secondly…I have yet to install the newsflash module…I do not mean that I installed it and then disabled it.
I mean, that I have NEVER installed it…period. The problem is still there…Again, this is only IE7…But here’s the deal…
Normally, like most people, I assume. I have two IE Tabs open…the Joomla backend…and the actual site……when flipping through pages, the problem eventually crops up…
It’s nothing that I can show anyone on demand…it’s random. When it does come up…I have found that if I switch back to the ‘admin’ tab browser window…then immediately switch back to the site…the footer is where it is supposed to be, and not stuck in the middle of page.
It’s like IE can’t render that footer properly at certain times, but then if you go away from the page, and come back…it’s fixed. Like, IE finally realized…”Oh, that’s where it’s supposed to be”
I can’t find anything wrong with the clearing divs or a float that’s incorrect…
What makes me really think that it’s a bug in IE itself….is that I used to look at the JA Nerine demo…to see if I wanted to use it and guess what…it was happening quite frequently with that template as well.
Still, it could be a css issue, that I can’t seem to figure out. Don’t know if this helps the developers, but it is the behavior I have noticed in two templates. Corona and Nerine.

May 15, 2008 at 1:03 pm #249242I noticed that when this problem appears, if you click on the font tool bar at the top it fixes the problem. Does this help? and is any one working on this problem.
