March 11, 2011 at 12:18 am #161314Hello,
I am trying to make a website dedicated to showing the “Who is Who”.
It will be showing images of important people or people who make headlines, and when visitors click on any image, then, a page opens with the description of who the person is and what they are famous for. I will be like a directory of people where their images and names would be visible on the frontpage.
I thought of using JA Showcase where I would link each image to an article about the person on the image… I tried it but I lost my inspiration along the way as it was not displaying the images on the frontpage.
I also thought about using JA Contentslider, like the one used in the JA Event (the contributors). For this, I would need to have many rows, instead of just one row of 3 people.
Do you have a better idea?
Could you think any extension(s) that may achieve this purpose?
Thank you for your valuable input.

March 11, 2011 at 9:34 am #380896Hi Iguinee,
If you want use ja contentslider to make many rows, you need hardcode, and change more contentslider’s javascript code.
If you use JA Showcase component to do it, you need only config on JA Showcase admin, please view user guide to config conrrectly: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-showcase-component-for-joomla-1-5-user-guide/Thanks,

March 13, 2011 at 12:19 am #381063Thank you thuanlq for your response.
Are there other better options to achieve this, instead of using the 2 above-mentioned extensions?

March 14, 2011 at 11:48 am #381262Hi Phill,
Thank you for the link. Is that JA-showcase on the work?
I checked the page source and it only reveals this
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/components/com_hotelguide/assets/css/hotelguide.css" type="text/css" />
It looks like it is customised though.

Thank you Phill.
