    Hello,

    I have replaced the default breadcrumb by the “Microdata Google Breadcrumbs” from the Joomla site, for search engine optimization purposes. I left the settings exactly the same as for the default breadcrumb module.

    In the previous situation, my breadcrumbs where visible both at the top of the content (via ‘module anywhere’) and on the default location at the bottom of the site.

    After installing the new module the breadcrumbs at the bottom of the location are not visible anymore. The breadcrumb at the top of the location still is visible, but the spaces have been removed between the links and the divider.

    Since it really improved my search results, I would like to keep the new module. Anyone an idea how I can get the breadcrumb visible at the bottom and how I can get the spaces back?

    Example link has been sent to administrator.

    Hi Peter,

    If you want to have spaces like this: http://prntscr.com/25v5ge

    You can add below css rules into file: /templates/ja_travel(your_default_template)/css/template.css

    .pathway > span {
    padding-right: 0 3px;
    }

    .breadcrumbs > span {
    padding-right: 0 3px;
    }

    and change to your desired value.

    With problem of breadcrumb at the bottom, please make sure that you assign this module into correct module position. If it still persists, PM me admin account of your site, I will check it for you.

    Hi Saguaros,

    For some reason this does not work for me for both the new and the old module.
    If I put back to old module, is there an module or plugin available that easily convert my breadcrumb structure to structured data for the search engines? I couldn’t find anything else, than the module I mentioned above.

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

    We don’t provide any breadcrumbs extension, you can search for a suitable one in Joomla! Extension Directory: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structure-a-navigation/site-navigation

    Hi Saguaros,

    I slightly modified your code and now it works for my site!

    .pathway > span {
    padding: 5px;
    }

    .breadcrumbs > span {
    padding: 5px;
    }

    My only left question is why the breadcrumb module doesn’t show up in the standard ‘breadcrumb location’ at the bottom of the site. Is that something you can find out?

    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hi Alex,

    Not recently, but he did in the post of December 6th. I have been busy since, so i didn’t have time before.

    Is he not working for Joomlart anymore?

    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

    Please correct me if I am wrong, but I guess he’s most likely asked you to PM him something confidential he needed while troubleshooting your issue in your thread? That would make sense.

    If you still need some help with your JoomlArt products, please feel free to create a new thread and we will be happy to help.

    Regards,

    Alex
