January 4, 2011 at 12:54 pm #370009is there a way under backend to remove content area, as there is option for that but that also removes breadcrumbs, and would like the breadcrumbs to show, and main content area to still not show?

January 6, 2011 at 3:33 am #370361Dear splico123,
If you want to turn on/off breadcrumbs, please login as administrator then access in module manager, find mod_breadcrumbs, select “Enabled: NO” to turn it off in all menu or use “Select Menu Item(s) from the List” to turn it off.
Please tell me why you want remove the content area? based on your reply,i might be able to offer some suggestions.

Hi, have also prblems with breadcrumbs. Under modules I selected NEW and installed breadcrumbs. Then I made it active in position breadcrumbs. But it´s not shown. I tried this module on positon -left and there I get it shown.
What do i make wrong. Current Version of my Teline IV installation is 1.2.4 and joomla 1.5.22
Thank´s for reply

Hello Karl,
Did you read the post you quoted? 😉
The position should be Breadcrumb, not Breadcrumbs. Just delete the s, that should do the trick.
Cheers.1 user says Thank You to steinar for this useful post

I have two installations for testing. One with the quickstart. Here the breadcrumb is shown as it should. And the position for the module in this installation is “breadcrumbs”.
At the second fresh installation I made just with joomla 1.5.22 and the teline IV template with all it´s modules and plugins there I run in this problem with the damned brfeadcrumb :((
Are between the qickstart template and the normal template differents? Because in quickstart I have more module positions than in the normal teline IV template….Thank´s for answers

March 2, 2011 at 11:36 am #379297Ok, I get it to work now. There seems to be differents between the quickstartinstallation and the only template installation. I changed in folder ../templates/ja_teline_iv/ in the templateDetails.xml file the postions name from breadcrumbs to breadcrumb.
Oh steinar, this was what you mean in your post…..

March 3, 2011 at 8:42 am #379440There are always different ways to achieve your aim. This is what I alluded to: In the Module manager >> edit module >> position dropdown, delete the “s” in breadcrumbs.
At the time of posting (December 2010) this was the way I found to work; the bug may have been corrected since.
Good you got it working. Best of luck with your site!
🙂
