Sorry i have not found this issue in our Default uber template and also not in the Uber demo.
I am not sure about your customizations and layouts that you are using .

can you provide me a site that shows Uber with breadcrumbs? I cannot see an example of this online. My quickstart copy of uber also exhibits this problem with the breadcrumbs being behind the affixed top menu.

Yes Breadcrumb Position is not published by default . Can you let me know which layout you are using on your site .
So i can try this on my end .
Also i request to remove the custom changes if you have done for breadcrumb, without check the site its too hard to assume the issues .
