I’m getting a really strange error from my JA Cooper Business template site. When I click on the readmore link in the frontpage articles I get this error in Firefox 3.6.12 (Mac OSX Leopard):

    “Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /index.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

Here’s what the bad URL looks like:

    http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15:back-to-basics-fundamentals&catid=10:articles&Itemid=17

Looks like all the ampersands are being converted to HTML entities. Removing “amp;” in the above fixes the URL and the correct page displays.

    How do I fix this?

Also I read elsewhere in this forum about a module called JA News Frontpage, but I cannot find this in the JA Cooper Business template nor in the extensions areas. Where is this mod? Is it related to the above problem?

    Thanks for your help.

The problem is only happening with the links for the 2nd and 3rd article intros (title and readmore), not with the leading article intro. As an aside, I’m using the JCE Editor.

Aah, I feel silly now. The problem was because I had made my .htaccess file available, but didn’t turn on SEF URLs and mod_rewrite in the global config.

    The readmore links work now.

    Hope this helps someone else…
