The read more button is from the core Joomla plugin.Did u recently updated your Joomla and facing this issue?
It may be an issue from any 3rd party extension or in your Joomla. Try to disable the 3rd party extensions one by one and check the issue. Also, report the issue on Joomla forum so that you will get a better reply on this issue.

You are right Pankaj, JCE editor was causing the issue. When I swicth the TinyMCE all good. Thank you
