If someone visits the site then comes back the next day, they see same thing UNLESS they REFRESH their browser. When I go to CNN .com or any other news website, I come back in half hour and I see updates without having to hit refresh.

So what do is recommended to help solve this or make the browser cache short time ?

System cache is off. And again this is NOT related to the cache setting within the joomla admin being on/off because if the browser is Refreshed they see the changes or if a new visitor goes to the site they see the changes.

I dont mind a short browser cache, but this is ridiculous. I never have to refresh any other news site to see their changes.

Thank you for help in advance.

On JA Teline IV template is using template cache and module cache. You can disable it

    + Template cache:
    <blockquote>Admin area->Extensions->Template Manager->Edit JA_Teline_IV – Default->Global->Enable Development Mode set Yes</blockquote>
    + Module cache:
Ex: JA News Pro Module, edit this module and Advanced Options tab: Caching set no caching.

And continue with other module was cached

can you explain more about this as i am having serious problems with this template and i use lots of template from different clubs and never come across one like this before. You need to have caching set to try and make the site faster and again this site is one of the slowest i have ever seen, it is so slow i am sure i saw a snail operate faster than my site which is http://www.cheapflightsgatwick.com

what we need to know is, we want the site to be faster so we need cache on but what can be done to stop people visiting to the site to have to keep refreshing the page.

    A great advantage? Maybe!
The cache is temporary: that every minutes the cached pages are removed from our space. Why? Because in the meantime if the page was updated the script caching not found it goes to reprocess the page, and not finding updated offering visitors the old page.

There is, frankly, a default time and the best location for the cache, because it varies for each of our need for some 3 minutes are vital (many visitors), for others it is sufficient to 1 hours (few visitors).

The biggest problem of the cache is that if we are used to update the site very often, or have a basket of products to which we change the price, as long cache (3 minutes, 15 hour …) to offer Visitor “old” pages: imagine what would happen if after you have doubled the price of a product, a user, thanks to the cache, could buy it at half the price?

Cache with high time (even days) may then be detrimental to the weight of the site every HTML page cached weighs, and if we think we might need to cache a thousand as we understand the weight of the cache folder can become a serious problem.

Who is recommended to enable the cache?

    Who owns a site with:
practically only textual content (news),has a good user traffic (not even one thousand, but only 10 per day)
    a site quite heavy

But if you have a site already very light and waterborne clear the cache completely useless.

To activate the cache, we must, from the administrative panel, go to Site -> Configuration -> System on the right side of the screen find the settings to enable and configure the internal cache of Joomla!

BTW you can find from google about “how can i increase my load size” and get some idea help you out of
