I’m very disappointed right now about the support from joomlart in regards to this template, I made two post about a problem I have with the catpopup module, it didn’t show as the one in the demo, so I know that there have to be something wrong but I thought it was on my side since no one care to answer me back or take a deep look into this issue.
Maybe this was not obvious because many of the users here are using the version for joomla 1.0.x , but to give the support team a good picture of the problem I decided to make a clean install of the module in two separte installations, one for joomla 1.0.15 and the other for joomla 1.5.2. And please take a look at the results at these links:
joomla: 1.0.15
http://www.jwmpanama.org/testold/index.phpjoomla: 1.5.2
http://www.jwmpanama.org/test/index.phpThe catpoup module is working fine under joomla 1.0.15 but not in joomla 1.5.2, please correct me if I’m wrong and let me know how to fix it, but I believe there is something wrong or missing in your version of the catpopup module for joomla 1.5.2 and believe me if I knew how to fix it I will not be asking here for help.

April 24, 2008 at 2:18 am #246639Hi juanchi !
I have tested your site (1.5 and 1.0 both ) catpopup module work well . I have test on IE6, IE7, FF. What browser do you use ?April 24, 2008 at 2:46 am #246642<em>@hainn84 50245 wrote:</em><blockquote>Hi juanchi !

I made the test on different computers and I got the same result, if you confirm to me that both windows are completely equal then I have something wrong but I don’t think so since I made the test on different computers and got the same result or both computers are missing something.
hainn84, I don’t know if you belong to the support team for joomlart, if so please excuse but what really is getting me mad is that support is not taking the time to look at this issue, I will like to think that they are too busy right now, but I think that they are not taking seriously my problem with this template.

Please help me solve this issue.
April 24, 2008 at 4:50 pm #246715Well at least tell me that this is not going to be fix in the near future so I will have to switch to joomla 1.0.15.
April 25, 2008 at 3:59 pm #246838Can someone from support answer me back or please let me know where I have to post my request for support since it seems that this is not the place to do it. Thanks.

April 27, 2008 at 2:28 pm #246997There is an issue with this module or the setup/configuration is not documented well. I’m having the same issue as juanchi where the css is not being rendered in the popup. I looked at the images he provided and am having the same display issues.
thanks

Thanks xyzb for your reply at least I know that I was not wrong about this issue, this module have a problem with 1.5.X , I took the time to look at the files for joomla 1.0.X of this module and there are some files that are not present at the module for 1.5.X, like a script with this name: mootools.js, I don’t know if this have something to do.
I wonder if they are using JA Fedora for Joomla 1.5.X in the demo section if so someone forgot to include something on the quickstart and zip package of this template, I will like to here something from support about this “BUG” but as you can see I posted this a few days ago and no word about this issue.

April 28, 2008 at 7:13 am #247087juanchi,
I found the problem- the ja.catpopup.css file is missing from the templatesja_fedoracss folder. This will need to be added to the downloads.xyzb Friendxyzb

April 28, 2008 at 7:37 am #247088In order to get the latest catpopup module to work in Joomla 1.5.X I used Firefox – Firebug and copied all the css and js files related to this feature off of the Joomlart website and loaded them into their respective folders locally for testing. Please keep in mind that the ja.catpopup.css file was missing as well from the download. My site now works just like the demo and without any js errors. 🙂
Enjoy-

Thanks xyzb, I confirm your fix, it is working now, btw if anyone use this module and have the same problem, I hope they correct the download soon, you have to copy the ja.catpopup.css from the demo on joomlart using firebugs, if you copy the file that is included in the package it will not work, you don’t have to copy any other file, I uploaded that file to the correct location and everything is working fine now. Remember you have to put the file ja.catpopup.css in this directory /templates/ja_fedora/css/ and your module should work.
xyzb, btw, thanks for your support! 🙂
