I have just checked, because you have installed
Button – JA Typography system jatypo Public 10016
This’s system plugin not Editor plugin. That’s why you don’t see button in editor page.

Actually in Joomla! 1.7 i still can’t find where is JA Typo Button Editor plugin. I’ll try to ask our staffs link to download for you.

Typo butto is in progress testing, not released because it’s a new improvement of typo plugin, we just released for J15, not J17
We will release for J17 in the next week.

JA Typo system for Joomla! 1.7 actually just include typo css. So you can simply use it by normally enter correct format code ( without use Button ).

Thanks, jooservice. But I am not quite sure what the purpose of the plugin is without the editor button. Because, before installing the plugin, I was copying the html source code manually from my Typography page anyway. In fact, after I installed the plugin, it distorted the alignment of the fancy bullet-point icons on my Typography page. (I am using ja-community-plus and Joomla 1.7). So it appears the plugin is less than helpful. I have had to disable it, and now everything is displaying correctly again.

I say this with all respect for the hard work and efforts of the Joomlart development team. But perhaps the JA Typo system plugin for Joomla! 1.7 should be removed until it is properly functional. Please correct me if I’m wrong. With thanks for your support,
