May 5, 2009 at 4:42 pm #140916Hi,
The “show cart” button in the top right is missing. Instead, the items are listed, which is not good because it there are more than 3 items listed, the “show cart” text link gets pushed-down too far and disappears. I don’t want the items listing, just rather have the “show cart” button back.
Thanks,

May 5, 2009 at 7:22 pm #303686i checked your site and i do agree with your concern of the shopping cart problem as stated by you. Went through the settings however there is no such setting available to turn off the product listing in the module once the product is added to the cart.
The mod_virtuemart_cart.php Shipping cart module is shipped with Virtuemart package and it would be wise to ask the same question in the virtuemart site forums, as that will increase the chances of getting proper answer.
Also you can try to shift the shipping cart module to left / right position, that should solve the problem of hidden shopping cart button if more than 3 products are selected.

May 5, 2009 at 7:44 pm #303689Hi Arvind,
Thanks for having a look…
It seems though that the button that has disappeared is a function of the template.
The demo image of the template displays it. As I recall, when that displayed, there
were no items listed, and access to the cart was always available.Its disappearance must be template related.

May 5, 2009 at 9:08 pm #303706It’s true, I have been surprised before… and so I have to eliminate (what seems to be) the obvious first.
When I compare the demo template with my website, it seems this vm-showcart module (where the button is) is missing:<div class=”vm-showcart”>
<a onclick=”try{ if( !parent.GB ) return GB_showCenter(‘Show Cart’, ‘http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_mesolite/index2.php?page=shop.cart&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=71’, 500, 600);} catch(e) { }” title=”Show Cart” href=”/ja_mesolite/index.php?page=shop.cart&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=71″>Show Cart</a>
</div>Both the template and virtuemart seem inseparable up there! So you could be right.
And instead I get this:
<div class=”vmCartModule”>
<div style=”float: left;”>
</div>
<div style=”float: right;”> $6.00 </div>
<br style=”clear: both;”/>
<div style=”float: left;”>
</div>
<div style=”float: right;”> $4.00 </div>
<br style=”clear: both;”/>
<hr style=”clear: both;”/>
<div style=”float: left;”> 7 Products</div>
<div style=”float: right;”> $10.00</div>The listing of items.
Thanks for taking another look!
Cindy

May 5, 2009 at 9:20 pm #303707Hmm…seems to be a common problem… I will try this work-around I found:
If you want just a picture with a link to the cart you can create a module, and assign it to that position.
You would just post the pic, with a link to shop.cart
/index.php?page=shop.cart is the link top the cartThanks for your time, hopefully this will work.
