Hi,
Does anyone know how to enable the Credits facility?
When I log in as an Employer and click ‘Buy Credit’, I get the error ‘Sorry, currently our system does not support using credit’.
Is it still under development?
I am using Jobboard 1.4.1.
Many thanks,

Please go to back-end -> System configuration -> Currency -> Select option ‘special currency’ -> Save
Hope this helps.

This has now enabled Credits on my system – thanks!
However, it raises another issue. My system has now defaulted back to US $ as the currency. It is ignoring the currency and currency code boxes, which are set to GBP and £.
Is there a way to make the actual currency stick, regardless of whether you are using Credits or not?
Thanks,
Gavin.February 2, 2010 at 9:57 am #331306…one more point to add to the above.
When trying to purchase more credits through Paypals Sandbox, I am presented with the folowing error:
This recipient either does not accept payments denominated in cre or has specified an invalid currency code on his web site. Please contact the seller and ask him either to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency or to correct his web site to specify a valid currency code.
It looks as though the currency designation being passed to Paypal is ‘cre’, presumably short for credit. Paypal has thrown this out as an invalid currency code.
Thanks again for your help with this,
Gavin.February 2, 2010 at 10:52 am #331309Another step forward!
After choosing special currency, i changed the Name and Symbol fields to ‘GBP’ for both. This is passed coorectly to Paypal and allows payments to be made, which is great.
The only small issue now is that when the Employer first chooses the Credit Package to purchase, the screen before proceeding to checkout displays the price in $ USD, not any of the chosen currencies.
Now a very minor issue, but one that might need your attention at some point.
Cheers.
